Full time staff nurse at Florida Hospital, Orlando CCU. Participated in orientation of new staff
members, relief charge duties, implemented patient teaching. Thirty-two bed CCU involves care of
all types of cardiac patients. Involved in the care of Intra-aortic balloon pumps, AICD pacemakers,
cardiogenic shock, CHF, Acute MI, post-procedure heart catheterizations, angioplasties, stent
insertions. Heparin, aggrastat, reopro, all thrombolytic therapies and protocols. Postop infections,
ARDS, renal insufficiency-acute and chronic. Peritoneal and other dialysis patients, post carotid
artery surgery, chest tubes, intubations, and harvests for eye donations after expiration. ACLS,
sedation, neuro, restraint, Intra-aortic balloon pump, medication, and other assorted certifications
and competencies current.
1994-1995
Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial Orange City, Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) and Relief House
Supervisor for 100-bed facility. Responsible for all areas and emergencies in house-OR, ER, Med/Surg,
ICU/CCU, telemetry, plus ancillary departments. As ANM, supervised staff of 18. Supervised
orientation of new staff. Directed patient care of 20 bed ICU/CCU, 26-bed telemetry/PCU.
Assisted physicians with all procedures on my shift including pacemaker insertions, swanz-ganz
catheter insertions, chest tube insertions, intubations. Organized and arranged transfers of
patients to upper-level care facilities when needed. Code nurse and IV nurse for entire facility.
1984-1986
